Opera Mediaworks’ Scott Swanson, President of Global Advertising Sales, sat on the “View From the Top: Dentsu” panel yesterday at the 5th annual Mobile Media Upfront conference in New York City. Mobile is quickly becoming the first screen for consumers, and Mobile Media Summit and Upfronts are a way for mobile advertising and media’s key decision makers to come together and discuss what every major holding company and media agency has in store for the year ahead. It’s a 360-degree view of what consumers want in mobile from the world’s biggest ad-holding companies.
In his role at Opera Mediaworks, Scott leads the company’s initiatives to develop innovative new mobile ad products for the company’s advertiser and agency customers. During his time on the panel, Scott discussed the innovation and future of voice-activated mobile advertising with executives from Vizeum Americas, Mondelez International, 360i, and Carat. Scott asked them questions like: “why do mobile campaigns today seem so vanilla?” and “are brands playing it too safe in the mobile space?”
It was informative and interactive, and on top of it all, the panel rocked some seriously fun socks. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and let us know your thoughts on the panel! We’d love to hear from you.
Also, look for us at Appnation in NYC today and tomorrow. We’ll see you there!
